Тимман победил в матче, выиграв черными последнюю партию 2.5-1.5
Мне лично поучительной показалась внешне очень скучная 1я партия, где Ян очень методично окучил соперника без ферзей.
Класс он и в Африке класс.
( Хотя гроссмейстеры наверняка найдут много тонкостей )

The 1st Roseto International Festival was held on 4th - 12th June at the Villaggio di Abruzzo in Roseto degli Abruzzi, on the Adriatic coast in central Italy. GM Vladimir Epishin from Russia was the top seed, while IM Axel Rombaldoni was top rated Italian player.
After nine rounds of play GM Oleg Romanishin took a clear first place with 7.0 points. Half a point behind are IM Misa Pap (Serbia) and GM Vladimir Epishin, and further bellow IM Rombaldoni, IM Roland Salvador (Philippines) and GM Arkadij Rotstein (Germany).

The Gyrgy Marx Memorial 2010 will feature six Grandmasters - Zoltan Almasi (the first 2700+ player at the event), Ferenc Berkes, Viktor Laznicka, Peter Acs, Jan Timman, and Ray Robson (the first American ever to participate). The event is double round robin and will take place in Paks, Hungary, 5th - 16th August 2010. The average rating of the participants is 2629, which makes it category 16 event.
The women section will have the same dates and format and will have IM Ildik Mdl, WGM Lilit Galojan, IM Tatiana Kononenko, GM Nona Gaprindashvili, IM Szidnia Vajda, and WIM Lili Tth. Average rating is 2347. Scroll down for all players presentations.
One of the world's top rated players, Pavel Eljanov from Ukraine (2755), clinched a victory against the second-seeded GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly (IND 2655) in the last round of the Politiken Cup 2010 and won the tournament by collecting 8.5 points from ten games. It is extremely difficult to defend such high rating in the arena of the open tournament, but Eljanov even surpassed the expectations and earned additional six elo points. This should lift him to the 6th place in the world in unofficial live rating lists.
The 1th edition of the International Chess Tournament Fermo-Porto San Giorgio will take place 21-29 August, 2010, at the Astoria Hotel in Fermo (5 minutes from Porto San Giorgio on the sea). The tournament already features a strong list of players, headed by GM David Alberto (LUX), followed by GM Vladimir Epishin, GM Leon Hoyos, GM Malaniuk and GM Matamoros. Other Grandmasters will be invited soon.
Fermo Chess Open is valid for GM/IM norms and features a prize fund of 6 000 eur.
Azerbaijan Youth Sport Ministry and Azerbaijan Chess Federation are organizing the International Chess Tournament Baku Open 2010, set to take place from 22nd to 31st August at the Af Hotel, near Caspian Sea, Novkhani.
The tournament will be played over 9 rounds (Swiss system) with the time control of 90 minutes + 30 sec per move. Total prize fund is 60,000 USD, with 10,000 USD reserved for the winner. 159 players from 14 countries are participating, US champion Gata Kamsky is top seeded.

Chess fans from five Continents will have their eyes focused on Miskolc between 24-29 August 2010. The most prestigious annual match in Hungary is going to be organized at the National Theater of Miskolc. The No. 1 Hungarian Grandmaster Pter Lk takes up a duel of eight games against the 2009 World Cup winner, Boris Gelfand of Israel. The arbiter of the match will be Zsuzsa Verci, GM.
