Abstract
Molecules are the basis of life. They can be considered as a quantum system. So it is necessary to enter quantum mechanics in biological discussions. In this paper we consider the DNA molecule as a quantum system. We discuss the relation between heredity, biology and DNA and quantum systems. We also find a relation between the quantum information and some bio-processes such as cell division, heredity, and cloning. Finally we conclude that in cell division, DNA-replication and cloning all information in DNA are different.

Принципы членства в eIFL.net
Базовым принципом членства в eIFL.net является то, что только один консорциум от каждой страны может быть членом eIFL.net. Для больших стран, в которых имеется несколько библиотечных объединений, членство в eIFL.net обычно осуществляется от имени коалиции (объединения) национальных консорциумов. Структура, вопросы членства, финансирование каждого консорциума могут быть различными и варьироваться от страны к стране, в соответствии с существующими условиями.
Все детали членства, права и обязанности сторон оговариваются в Меморандуме о взаимопонимании, подписываемом между eIFL.net и новым членом консорциума. Страна-участница консорциума eIFL.net номинирует одного своего представителя - национального координатора, осуществляющего связь между собственным консорциумом и международной командой eIFL.net. Национальный координатор несет ответственность за распространение в рамках своего консорциума информации, поступающей от eIFL.net, а также информирует eIFL.net о развитии и деятельности своего консорциума.
Членские взносы, устанавливаемые в соответствии с реальными возможностями в оплате для каждой страны, предназначены для покрытия части расходов по деятельности eIFL.net.
В настоящее время членами eIFL.net являются библиотечные консорциумы 50 развивающихся стран и стран с переходной экономикой в Центральной, Восточной и Юго-Восточной Европе, страны бывшего Советского Союза, Африки, Ближнего Востока и Юго-Восточной Азии.

How well can people judge when something happened?

Abstract
One way to estimate the temporal precision of vision is with judgments of synchrony or temporal order of visual events. We show that irrelevant motion disrupts the high temporal precision that can be found in such tasks when the two events occur close together, suggesting that the high precision is based on detecting illusory motion rather than on detecting time differences. We also show that temporal precision is not necessarily better when one can accurately anticipate the moments of the events. Finally, we illustrate that a limited resolution of determining the duration of an event imposes a fundamental problem in determining when the event happened. Our experimental estimates of how well people can explicitly judge when something happened are far too poor to account for human performance in various tasks that require temporal precision, such as interception, judging motion or aligning moving targets spatially.

The decay of coherence when a quantum system interacts with a much larger environment is usually described by a master equation for the system reduced density matrix and emphasizes the evolution of an entire ensemble. We consider two methods that have been developed recently to simulate the evolution of single realizations. Quantum-state diffusion involves both diffusion, where the individual quantum trajectory fluctuates through a Wiener process deriving from the environment, and localization to a coherent state, an eigenstate of the relevant Lindblad operator describing the coupling of the system to the environment. We demonstrate the localization process for different initial states and utilize the Wigner function to depict this localization in phase space. We concentrate on quantum states that can be expressed as a superposition of appropriate coherent states. For an initial superposition of two coherent states (a Schrdinger ‘‘cat’’), one of the two components will dominate the evolution. For initial Fock states, which can be described as a continuous superposition of coherent states on a ring, localization takes place when one coherent state is selected from that ring where each component has nearly the same energy as the original Fock state. We also consider the localization from a nonclassical squeezed ground state, which can be expressed as a superposition of coherent states along a line in phase space. The second simulation method considered is the state vector Monte Carlo, or ‘‘quantum jump,’’ approach, which relates to the direct counting of decay quanta. In the case of an initial Schrdinger ‘‘cat,’’ we find that when no quantum is detected the ‘‘cat’’ shrinks, but when a quantum is detected, the Schrdinger ‘‘cat’’ ‘‘jumps’’ from one type of ‘‘cat’’ to another with different internal phase. For an initial squeezed state we show how quantum jumps lead to individual realizations which are superpositions of two squeezed states.

Does a form of ‘entanglement’ between people explain healing? An examination of hypotheses and methodology

Summary
Quantum entanglement is a phenomenon in which entangled systems exhibit correlations that cannot be explained by classical physics. It has recently been suggested that a similar process occurs between people and explains anomalous phenomena such as healing. This paper explores the hypothesis that the therapeutic interaction involves some kind of ‘entanglement’ between people. There are several different versions of the theory that entanglement is possible between people: the versions differ in the way entanglement between people is derived, and the way it has a therapeutic effect. The two main versions are generalised, specific entanglement, and global, emergent entanglement-specific entanglement. Two research ideas are presented for testing the hypothesis of entanglement between people, both of which are based on predicting variation in outcome in naturally occurring contexts (the naturalistic observational study).
Extended Network Generalized Entanglement Theory: Therapeutic Mechanisms, Empirical Predictions, and Investigations

Extended Network Generalized Entanglement Theory (Entanglement Theory for short) combines two earlier theories based on complexity theory and quantum mechanics. The theory's assumptions are: the body is a complex, self-organizing system (the extended network) that self-organizes so as to achieve genetically defined patterns (where patterns include morphologic as well as lifestyle patterns). These pattern-specifying genes require feedback that is provided by generalized quantum entanglement. Additionally, generalized entanglement has evolved as a form of communication between people (and animals) and can be used in healing. Entanglement Theory suggests that several processes are involved in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Direct subtle therapy creates network change either through lifestyle management, some manual therapies, and psychologically mediated effects of therapy. Indirect subtle therapy is a process of entanglement with other people or physical entities (e.g., remedies, healing sites). Both types of subtle therapy create two kinds of information within the network— either that the network is more disregulated than it is and the network then compensates for this error or as a guide for network change leading to healing. Most CAM therapies involve a combination of indirect and direct therapies, making empirical evaluation complex. Empirical predictions from this theory are contrasted with those from two other possible mechanisms of healing: (1) psychologic processes and (2) mechanisms involving electromagnetic influence between people (biofield/energy medicine). Topics for empirical study include a hyperfast communication system, the phenomenology of entanglement, predictors of outcome in naturally occurring clinical settings, and the importance of therapist and patient characteristics to outcome
A Brief Guide to Extended Network Entanglement Theory as a Theory of Healing and Its Empirical PredictionsM.E. Hyland
Extended network entanglement theory (ENET) derives from a combination of two theoretical ideas: complexity theory and weak quantum theory. The theory suggests that generalized entanglement evolved initially as a form of communication within the body needed to enable the body to self-organize according to genetically specified patterns, and then as a form of communication between organisms which form social groups. This latter form of communication is at the heart of healing mechanisms. This paper sets out the theory in the form of 16 propositions and then describes 11 research ideas. ENET theory suggests that researchers should focus more on the patient-therapist dyad rather than the technical aspects of the therapy

Fractal space-time: a geometric analogue of relativistic quantum mechanics

Considers a 'thought experiment' in which particles are confined to move on fractal trajectories in both space and time, treating the case of a Peano-Moore trajectory in detail. Generalising these results, the author uses the classical principle of relativity and a correspondence principle to show that fractal trajectories in space with Hausdorff dimension D=2 exhibit both an uncertainty principle and a de Broglie relation. The incorporation of fractal time with D=2 places an upper bound on the macroscopic velocities of 'fractalons', which in turn requires that the macroscopic physics be Lorentz covariant. On a microscopic scale, the presence of fractal time is interpreted in terms of the appearance of particle-antiparticle pairs when observation energies become of the order of mc2. The author proposes two field equation descriptions of fractalons based on random walk space-time trajectories and subsequently relates these equations to the free particle Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations respectively.

A subtle asymmetry

In his early theories of the structure of the psyche, psychic energy and psychodynamics, Jung was influenced by William James's understanding of the complementary insights of depth psychology and the discoveries of subatomic physics, and his concept of field in physics and the study of the subconscious. In his relationship with Freud, Jung initially struggled with a sexually-based drive theory. But he gradually came to conceive libido as a quantitative concept, a psychic analogue of physical energy. In their own languages, both C. G. Jung and Nobel physicist Wolfgang Pauli explored the evolution of scientific thought from the naive insights about process in alchemy through Newtonian causality, space-time theories of relativity to quantum mechanics. Jung had access to thirteen hundred of Pauli's dreams. The first four hundred were basis for his research into alchemical symbolism in a modern psyche. In a later collaboration, Pauli supported Jung's synchronicity principle as scientific, and Jung fostered Pauli's understanding of the archetypal and collective factors in the psyche. They each explored the interconnections between the energies of psyche and matter, and the possibilities of acausal order and synchronicity. Pauli's ground-breaking discoveries gave scientific demonstration of alchemical intuitions. Through him, alchemical and archetypal insights entered the discourse of physics. Through Jung, the apprehensions of microphysics entered our psychological language and thought.
